"Information over intuition" is the mantra of growth marketing (or at least we think it should be). In other words, growth marketers should use data and facts to drive their decisions, not hunches or stabs in the dark.

But if you want to do that, you'll need the right tools to help you get the job done. These are the eight growth marketing tools you can use to start generating more traffic, leads, and revenue.

8 Growth Marketing Tools You Need to Download Yesterday

Add these to your growth marketing toolbox ASAP.

1. Ahrefs

With its generous offering of free tools (and even more powerful paid ones), Ahrefs is a marketing staple for a reason.

If you mostly know Ahrefs as an awesome keyword tool, trust us when we say there's more to it than that.

For instance, Site Explorer will let you see exactly how your site compares to those of your competitors and even let you catch a glimpse of how your rivals are spending their PPC budget.

And if you want to take a more data-driven approach to content, Content Explorer makes it easy to see what kinds of content is ranking for the subjects in your brand's most important topic clusters.

2. HubSpot

It's no secret that we're big fans of HubSpot — First Page Strategy is a HubSpot partner agency, after all.

But what makes HubSpot so great? It all comes down to the five hubs that make up its CRM platform: marketing, sales, content management, service, and operations.

Each hub is effective on its own, but together they create a positively dominant software suite you can you to strengthen just about any aspect of your growth marketing strategy.

Perhaps one of the most compelling reasons to use HubSpot, though, is its lead generation capabilities. From its robust CRM features to its built-in A/B testing, HubSpot is nothing short of a lead-producing machine.

3. Google Analytics

Available since 2005, Google Analytics certainly isn't a new tool. But thanks to its continued improvement and the sheer size of its source data, Google Analytics is still one of the most powerful growth marketing tools around.

That's certainly the case for its latest iteration, Google Analytics 4 (GA4 for short). With GA4, you'll be able to:

  • easily track events and conversions;
  • create completely custom reports;
  • monitor the customer journey from start to finish;
  • analyze your app as well as your site; and
  • see advanced AI-driven predictions.

If you're used to previous versions of Google Analytics, GA4 may take some getting used to. But given its one-of-a-kind capabilities, we'd say it's more than worth it.

4. SimilarWeb

Competitor analysis is a critical element of growth marketing, yet simply identifying your competitors can be a surprisingly daunting task.

Not the case if you've got SimilarWeb in your arsenal: With this tool, you only need to plug in your website's URL in order to see a list of potential competitors.

Enter their URL, and you'll be able to see their engagement rates, audience demographics, tech stack, and more, all in a matter of seconds.

5. AnswerThePublic

Successful growth marketing isn't about doing what you want, it's about finding out what customers want and doing that instead.

With that in mind, it's not hard to see why AnswerThePublic is such an invaluable tool. Just enter any keyword of your choice and you'll see an easy-to-understand visualization of the search queries people are making about it.

And if your brand's customer base is spread over multiple regions, you can filter the results by country for maximum accuracy.

6. Optimizely

If you're serious about making data-driven decisions, start A/B testing using a tool like Optimizely.

With its help, you'll be able to reliably test elements such as:

  • CTAs;
  • discount offers;
  • layouts;
  • word choices;
  • color schemes; and
  • just about anything else you can think of.

And while Optimizely is a fantastic choice, it's also not your only option. Depending on your brand's needs, you might prefer to use AB Tasty, Google Optimize, or another tool entirely (don't forget HubSpot has built-in A/B testing, too).

7. Zapier

More marketing automation means your team can spend less time writing emails, taking notes, and organizing tasks and more time doing what they do best.

But when your team uses multiple apps to do their work, it can seem difficult to automate their most repetitive tasks without hiring an army of developers.

That's where Zapier comes in. With its thousands (yes, thousands) of app integrations, this tool makes it easy, efficient, and even fun to incorporate cross-app automation into your team's workflow.

For example, you could use Zapier to automatically:

  • add new leads to your preferred CRM platform;
  • send new customers a personalized email;
  • send sales reps a Slack message when someone requests a demo; and
  • so much more.

And since Zapier's basic plan is completely free, you can experiment with its automation capabilities before committing a portion of your budget.

8. ClickUp

If automating your team's work between apps isn't enough, why not replace your apps altogether with ClickUp?

It sounds far-fetched, but with ClickUp's robust set of features, it's entirely possible. With its hierarchical organization, handy templates, and long list of integrations, this is a platform you can use for almost everything.

From tracking tasks to taking notes to collaborating with coworkers, ClickUp can do it all (and help you send your growth through the roof in the process).

Use the Right Tools for the Right Job

Growth marketing is no place for a "set it and forget it" mentality. Instead, you'll need to constantly evaluate your tactics and results if you want to meet the revenue goals you've set.

But if you have the right tools, that doesn't have to be a chore or a time sink. With their help, you can boost productivity, generate leads, overtake competitors, and supercharge your bottom line, all without breaking a sweat.
